Who are the Walker Stalkers?
The Walker Stalkers started when several dedicated Keith Walker fans began calling themselves "Walker Stalkers." One fan out of Australia, Shirelle, started a myspace site for those fans who wanted to see Keith Walker make it to the top. After hearing about this, Keith embraced it and decided to make this special group of fans his official street team. Today, it's members are spread throughout the globe...doing all they can to make sure Keith Walker's music gets heard by anyone with ears.
What is a Street Team?
Basically, a street team is a team of fans who work together to promote Keith Walker and his music. Newsletters will be sent to each member and will include information about the latest campaigns, new contests and will show off those who are leading the pack.
Now that the new website is up, the street team page will be important because it will be your homebase where you can keep track of all the current missions and it will provide an archive of each and every street team newsletter that is sent.
Sometimes we will do special contests for different cities depending on what's going on with Keith's tour dates and radio support. Keep an eye out for any emails that might look like they are for your area only! They'll include special information about Keith in your area and what you can do to help locally.
The newsletters will let you know what kind of tasks the entire team needs to be doing, but we like to see team members think outside the box and do their own promotions, either online or off.
What will you be doing as a member of the Walker Stalkers?
Your mission will be to promote Keith Walker and his music either online or offline.
Promotions might include:
- Telling other country fans in blogs, web boards
or all over myspace about Keith.
- Taking Keith's music to your local Honky
Tonks / Bars / Clubs / Radio Stations and ask
the DJ to play Keith's music.
- Telling all of your friends/family/co-workers
and anyone else you can think about Keith.
- Calling your local radio stations and request
the current single.
- When a video is released to CMT / GAC, go
and vote for it to get it in the top 20!
- If Keith is playing in your area, hand out flyers
to let other locals know that Keith is headed
your way!
- Anything else you can think of...the possibilites
are endless!
